WARSAW – An Indiana Office of Tourism Development official lands in Kosciusko County to visit the local convention and visitor’s bureau.
Executive Director Mark Newman arranged a visit with Jill Boggs, the incoming executive director, at the Kosciusko County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Newman and Boggs took time to discuss the importance of tourism as an industry that brings more than 74 million people each year to Indiana’s many tourist attractions and events. Newman went on to explain to Boggs that, “as executive director of an organization that brings economic vitality to the county, you and your tourism partners are sitting on a gold mine with the multiple assets in Kosciusko County.”
The Indiana Office of Tourism Development has multiple programs and initiatives that could enhance the visitor bureau’s sales and marketing efforts. Boggs plans to continue to partner with Newman and his team to elevate current efforts and seek new opportunities.
In regard to the visitor’s center located on U.S. 30, Newman adds, “this visitor’s center is one to be admired. Other tourism bureaus would be proud to have a center like this as a welcoming source to visitors stopping in the area for information.”
