Rickey Ren Fennell
Rickey Ren Fennell, 61, Bremen, who grew up in Brighton, died at 6:58 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1953 in Sturgis, Mich. to Richard A. and Dorothy E. (von Olnhousen) Fennell. He married Kathy (Geiger) Fennell.
Surviving are his wife: Kathy, Bremen; children: Sarah (Andy) Wesselhoft, Elkhart; Stephanie (Ryan) Weldy, Goshen; Shane (Ashley) Fennell, Nappanee; mother: Dorothy Fennell, Lagrange; stepchildren: BJ (Andrea) Shell, Bremen; Beth Heather Shell, Syracuse; Brandon Santana, Bremen; Brittany Santana, Bremen; grandchildren: Britnei; Payton; Benjamin; Greta; Madison; Dane; Grace; Macee; Grant; Cheyanne; Georgia; Rhenn; Evelynn; sister: Pamela (Fred) Schultz, Granger; brother: Charles (Wendy) Fennell, Warsaw; and former spouse: Marcee Flora, Elkhart.
Preceding him in death are his father: Richard Fennell; and twin brothers: Jan Eric; and Jon GuyFennell.
Rickey was employed at Maple Leaf Farms and attended Word of Truth Ministries, both of Milford. He was a graduate of Lakeland High School, an Eagle Scout with the Brighton Boy Scout Troop; loved the outdoors and his passions were hunting, fishing, camping, carpentry and gardening. He was also a NASCAR fan.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, service, all at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen. Pastor Mike Kelley, Word of Truth Ministries, will officiate. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Habitat for Humanity.
