NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library has been awarded a $30,000 grant by the Dekko Foundation. The “A Little Love for Libraries” Grant will be used to renovate and upgrade the library’s entrance corridor.
The renovations will substantially increase the ease of entering and exiting the library, providing improved access for all patrons. The entrance corridor will also be refurbished with enhanced display areas for the dissemination of educational, program, and community information. These improvements include display cases and signage boards that will help keep patrons informed of library and community programs, events, resources, and services.
Another facet of the renovation will be increased storage space that will facilitate increased efficiency and administration, enabling library staff to more effectively serve patrons.
“We are very grateful to the Dekko Foundation for their generosity and commitment to libraries. Through this ‘A Little Love for Library’ Grant, our patrons will gain greater access to library resources,” stated North Webster Library Director Helen Leinbach.
The project is expected to be completed by March 2016. The Dekko Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering economic freedom through education and opportunities for young people and their families.
The North Webster Community Public Library, located at 301 N. Main Street, is housed in the North Webster Community Center. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
