NORTH LIBERTY — Get lost in the beauty of a tallgrass prairie at Potato Creek State Park’s Prairie Maze, open now at 25601 SR 4, North Liberty.

Visitors can wander through 1.75 miles of trails cut in the seven-foot-tall restored prairie grasses.

There are nine stations in the maze with clues about prairies. The clues will help visitors solve a word scramble puzzle.

Maze walkers should park at the west lot at the northwest corner of Worster Lake. Maps of the maze will be available at the park entrance gate, park office and the nature center through the end of October.

New this year is a photo contest through the Potato Creek Facebook page. Guidelines for this contest can be found on the maze map. Complete contest rules are in the “Notes” section under “More” on the Potato Creek State Park Facebook page.

The maze is free after paying the standard admission fee of $7 per in-state vehicle or $9 per out-of-state vehicle.
