Jessie Felts, 88, of New Carlisle, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, in Hospice House of South Bend.

Jessie was one of fourteen children and she was born on March 15, 1927, the daughter of the late Kelly and Pearly (Joseph) Conley. On March 15, 1953, in Knox, she married Eldon W. “Wayne” Felts. He passed away on Aug. 8, 1988.

She is survived by her son: Ed (Lynn) Felts, New Carlisle; three granddaughters: Michelle Felts, Fort Wayne; Lisa Felts, South Bend; and Katie Felts, South Bend; and two great-grandchildren: Dylan and Roscoe.

Jessie was an accomplished seamstress and worked for Gerber Manufacturing for 35 years as a sewing machine operator. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 91 and V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 8972. She will be remembered for her love of gardening and her flowers. The family would like to thank the Center for Hospice and the Hospice House for their kindness and care.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Sept. 17, in Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at Noon Thursday, Sept. 17, in Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Center for Hospice Care, Mishawaka.
