Indiana Native Vying For Top Spot On AGT
NEW YORK — Avon native Drew Lynch is vying for the top prize on America’s Got Talent this week on NBC.
The 21-year-old performs comdey routines centered around his stutter, a speech impediment he got a year ago in a softball game accident. A softbal hit his throat, causing vocal trauma, and giving him a harsh stutter.
Now, he is performing in front of all of America on America’s Got Talent. “I definitely never imagined getting this far. My mindset throughout this competition has just been – we’ll see what happens. I didn’t really plan on – in the semis I’m gonna do this joke, or the finals I’m gonna do this; it was just kind of a roll of the dice. That was kind of my mindset,” he said in an interview with WTHR.
Watch Drew Lynch’s final performance at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, then catch the final episode of the season at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 16 on NBC.
