LCA Soccer Squad Drops Pair
LAKEVILLE – The Lakeland Christian Academy soccer team took part in the Lancer Cup on Saturday.
The Cougars went 0-2 in the tournament hosted by LaVille High School at Newton Park.
LCA opened play with a 5-0 loss to the host Lancers. LaVille bolted to a 4-0 halftime lead en route to the win.
Junior keeper Cross Williams had several strong saves for the Cougars, who were outshot 15-2 in the match.
South Bend Washington handed LCA an 8-0 loss in their second match of the day. The Panthers put home four goals in each half in the win.
Washington had an 18-4 edge in shots on goal in the contest.
LCA, now 0-10 on the season, will play Culver on Tuesday evening.
