Indiana Colleges And Universities Receive High Marks
WASHINGTON D.C – Universities and colleges in Indiana have received high marks according to U.S. News and World Report’s annual rankings of the nation’s top schools. Rating schools on up to 16 factors of academic excellence, the publication’s best colleges list the nation’s top schools in four categories, based on the types of degrees offered.
The categories are based on the types of degrees offered, are further subdivided into more specific programs and categories. The U.S. News and World Report collected date on 1,800 schools. 1,376 were ranked.
Below is a list of universities, colleges, and programs in Indiana that were on the list of rankings.
The National Universities category include schools that offer a “full range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs.” National Liberal Arts Colleges “emphasize undergraduate education and award at least half of their degrees in the liberal arts fields of study.” Schools ranked in the Regional Universities Midwest section “offer a full range of undergraduate programs and some master’s programs but few doctoral programs.” Regional Colleges Midwest “focus on undergraduate education but grant fewer than half their degrees in liberal arts disciplines.”
