Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
5:42 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, North SR 13 and East CR 200N, Pierceton. Drivers: Justin S. Smith, 29, Pierceton, and Peggy A. Gerkin, 71, Leesburg. Gerkin complained of pain to the left side and suffered a laceration to her left arm. She was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Police report Gerkin failed to see the Smith vehicle before entering the intersection. Damage up to $50,000.
12:56 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, Lake City Highway and South CR 250E, Warsaw. Drivers: Kaycee L. Bercot, 16, Fort Wayne, and Landon W. Walls, 18, Wauseon, Ohio, Bercot’s vehicle struck the back of the Walls vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
12:21 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, West CR 1300N, west of North CR 500W, Milford. Driver: Mian M. Scott, 22, Elkhart. Scott over corrected her vehicle after it went off the road, causing it to go back off the road and roll over. Damage up to $5,000.
5:50 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, North CR 650E, south of East CR 200N, Pierceton. Driver: Jamie I. Close, 38, Leesburg. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
5:02 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, North SR 15, south of West CR 800N, Leesburg, Drivers; Cecilia E. Hill, 27, Milford, and Alondra R. Giron, 18, Leesburg. Hill’s vehicle struck the back of the Giron vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
12:22 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, West CR 600N and North Old SR 15, Leesburg. Drivers: Derick A. Gamble, 22, Syracuse, and Joseph L. Doyle, 62, Kimmell. Gamble turned in front of the Doyle vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
9:57 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, North CR 750E and East CR 1400N, Syracuse. Drivers: Amy J. Wechter, 75, Ligonier, and Larry J. Mathers, 52, Paoli. Wechter’s vehicle struck the back of the Mathers vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
3:09 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, North SR 15 and West Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Christy E. Daniels, 27, Warsaw, and Zoey L. Bontrager, 20, Goshen. Daniels drove her vehicle in front of the Bontrager vehicle. Damage up to $50,000.
5:29 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, West CR 200S and Falcon Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Brianne L. Johnson, 19, Warsaw, and Martha L. Yoder, 52, Mentone. Johnson’s vehicle struck the back of the Yoder vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
5:55 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, South Main Street, North Webster. Driver: Tony L. Lozier, 60, North Webster. Lozier backed from a parking space, unsure if he struck a parked vehicle or not and left. It was later determined he backed into a parked vehicle registered to Fred E. Swartz III, Elkhart. Lozier was cited for no valid operators license. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Driver: Harry A. Batson, 66, Leesburg, Batson looked away while driving and struck a pole in the parking lot. Damage up to $2,500.
7:41 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, North Detroit Street, north of CR 250N, Warsaw. Drivers: Roland J. Rohrer, 52, Goshen, and Thomas P. Holloway, 53. Akron. Rohrer went to merge from the right lane into the left lane north of CR 250N, hitting the Holloway vehicle. Damage under $750.
4:48 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, North Detroit Street, north of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Randy R. Scott, 53, Silver Lake, and James A. Gleason, 65, Elkhart. Scott’s vehicle struck the Gleason vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
