Alcohol Licenses Renewed In Meeting
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Alcoholic Beverage Commission meeting Thursday, Sept. 3, was short and to the point. Four retailers in Kosciusko County renewed their licenses without a violation, while one renewed with a violation.
The four retailers to renew their licenses without violations were Owen’s Supermarket, Warsaw; Aldi, Warsaw; Claypool Inn, Claypool; and The Channel Marker, Syracuse. The board approved the new licenses.
Etna Pub, located in Etna Green, renewed their license after a violation. James and Steve Slough, co-owners of the pub renewed their license today after breaking a contract with their alcohol provider. The Etna Pub is currently closed, and a new owner is seeking to take over. The renewed license would be granted to the new owners of the location.
The board recommended a new license be given, however, if Etna Pub does not pay the charges given for breaking their contract, the license will become void. The recommendation was approved.
Caleb France from Cerulean was there to transfer the ownership of the two Cerulean locations, and Light Rail in Winona Lake. Ownership is not actually transferring, but the three locations are becoming LLC, rather than a part of a corporation. The transfer was approved.
