Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:13 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Driver: Timothy E. Williams. 35, Louise Road, Winston Salem, N.C. Williams was backing his truck and trailer and backed into a parked truck registered to Krakowski Trucking Inc., Medina Ohio. Damage up to $5,000.
7:58 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, North SR 13, north of North Grandview Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Timothy J. Collins, 17, EMS W17C Lane, North Webster, and Emily J. Ondrla, 19, East CR 375N. Warsaw. Collins’ vehicle struck the back of the Ondrla vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
7:21 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, South SR 25, south of South CR 600W, Warsaw. Drivers: Tyler R. McClellan, 23, West CR 600N, Rochester, and Courtney M. Eaton, 27, East CR 450N, Mentone. McClellan allegedly fell asleep while driving hitting the driver’s side of a Tippecanoe Valley school bus, driven by Eaton. Eaton and one other adult were the only two occupants on the bus. Damage up to $50,000.
9:24 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, East CR 400S, east of South CR 300E, Warsaw. Drivers: MaryBeth B. Camden, 79, East CR 350S, Pierceton, and Matthew W. Trump, 35, East 400S, Warsaw. Camden turned her vehicle into the path of the Trump vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
6:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, South CR 400E and East CR 400S, Warsaw. Stephanie L. Shepherd, 32, East CR 500S, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:57 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Patsy L. Smith, 73, West Street, Columbus Grove, Ohio. Smith accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes, hitting the guardrail in front of the entrance to McDonald’s. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:48 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, Jaylynn Street, Warsaw. Driver: Dylan E. Oberg, 17, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Cited for operating without proof of financial responsibility. Oberg’s vehicle struck two parked vehicles while driving around McDonald’s at a high rate of speed. Damage up to $5,000.
10:49 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, Lake City Highway and East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Suzanne Spanoudakis, 62, Dorg Road, Apollo, Penn., and Dakota L. Conner, 20, Terrace Drive, Winamac. Spanoudakis’ vehicle struck the back of the Conner vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
4:46 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, Lake CityHighway, south of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Amanda L. Rollins, 32, Mineral Springs Avenue, Wionna Lake, and Norma L. Walker, 77, N. Lindberg St., Warsaw. The Rollins vehicle and the Walker vehicle sideswiped while turning. Damage up to $2,500.
8:40 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, Main street, north of Colfax Street, Warsaw. Driver: Gloria Ruiz, 42 North Canal Street, Leesburg, and Angie M. Collins, 40, Meadow Lark Boulevard, Warsaw. Ruiz was cited for driving without a valid license. The Ruiz vehicle struck the Collins vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
11:21 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, South Buffalo Street, west of Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Jeremy T. Cauthen, 21 Lilly Trail, Maiden, N.C. He was transported to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, with pain to the leg and laceration to the head. Cauthen’s motorcycle reportedly went over the curb on the west side of the street. Witnesses told police the motorcycle was laying on top of him, but was lifted off by bystanders. Damage up to $2,500.
