WARSAW — OrthoWorx hosted its second orthopedic industry intern/co-op event Thursday, July 30, at the Garden at Cerulean. DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction, OrthoPediatrics, Paragon Medical and Zimmer Biomet provided sponsorship for this end of summer celebration.
Approximately 70 people, including interns, co-ops, industry employees and OrthoWorx staff, were in attendance. Those present enjoyed garden fare and live music while they participated in icebreakers and conversation with their peers.
“This is yet another opportunity for young professionals in the orthopedic industry to meet others, network and enjoy a local community asset,” Sheryl Conley, OrthoWorx president and CEO, said. “Our members, who graciously provided funding for this event, find great value in continuing the social programming for their interns and co-ops to provide the quality of life aspect of living and working in the region.”
OrthoWorx looks to continue to develop engaging social activities for future interns and co-ops in the orthopedic industry as part of its University/Industry Advisory Board Talent Development Initiative. Interns and co-ops who participated in 2015 summer programming have received a survey to provide valuable feedback about living in Warsaw over the summer and the available quality of life programming, which will be used to develop appropriate young professional programming for the future.
