Buckeye Fans Walk 19 Miles To Spell Ohio
COLUMBUS, OH — In case you thought fans of The Ohio State University’s football team were not intense enough, this past week four loyal Buckeye fans spent 6 1/2 hours walking 19 miles in order to spell out the script Ohio on Google Maps.
The trek, which was completed in participation of a company fitness challenge, was planned so that the Ohio Stadium would “dot the i.” In order to get the “i” straight, they even had to walk through the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital.
The walk was an homage to the Ohio State University marching band’s “Script Ohio,” which the famous band does during every home game. The walk went viral after one of the walkers, Brian Orwick, posted a screenshot of the walk to Reddit.
Buckeye fans, coming off an upset national championship win last year, are ready for their season to begin Sept. 7.
