Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
8:48 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, EMS T34 Lane, Warsaw. Driver: John D. Wright, 44, 106 N. Main St., Milford. Wright suffered minor bleeding to the head and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Wright was northbound on his motorcycle when his phone rang, when he reached to get the phone, he missed the curve, heading toward a stone gate. He laid down his motorcycle suffering a cut to the head. Charges are pending. Damage up to $2,500.
8:17 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, North CR 100E, East Pound Drive North, Warsaw. Driver: Phillip d. Caudill, 41, East CR 200N, Warsaw. A deer hit his vehicle with the impact causing Caudill’s vehicle to hit a street sign. Damage up to $5,000.
5:08 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, North CR 600, east of Blaine Street, North Webster. Driver: Victor A. Blanco, 27, West Huntington Street, North Webster. Blanco complained of pain to head but refused treatment. He was cited for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Blanco swerved his vehicle to miss a deer, going off the road and hitting a tree. He drove to his residence, then contacted police due to pain to his head. Further charges are pending. Damage up to $10,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
2:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, North SR 13, north of West Crystal Flash Road, North Webster. Drivers. Robert K. Bryant, 45, EMS B44 Lane, Leesburg, and Crystal D. Malone, 32, Magill Court, Syracuse.. Bryant was merging into right lane, side swipped the Malone vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
6:21 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, North SR 13, south of Channel Drive, North Webster. Drivers: Derik J. Green, 44, East Bond Street, North Webster, and Linda S. Warner, 55, South Blaine Street, North Webster. Green had parked his vehicle and went inside the business. While inside his vehicle rolled down the ramped driveway at Ace Hardware, across SR 13 hitting the Warner vehicle, then rolling onto the property of Freedom Express hitting a gas pump. Warner saw a car coming down the ramp and accelerated but her vehicle was still struck. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:45 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, Argonne Road, Warsaw. Driver: Amanda L. Chavez, 38, East Sheridan Street, Warsaw. Chavez was backing her vehicle to leave 425 Argonne Road, when she backed over a metal beam to prevent damage to the stop sign. Damage up to $10,000.
2:08 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, East Market Street, west of South Detroit Street, Warsaw Driver: Baylee M. Harris, 18, West Florence Street, Bourbon, and Michael J. Kabala, 40, EMS C31 Lane, Warsaw. Harris backed her vehicle to allow a turning semi more room to turn, backing into the Kabala vehicle. Damage under $750.
