GOSHEN — The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is asking any one who has information about a call of a shooting Thursday evening, Aug. 13, on US 33, to contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

According to Capt. James Bradberry, Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 8:15 p.m. Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department and Goshen City Police Department responded to the 65000 block of US 33, Goshen. A male called the Elkhart County Public Safety and Communications Center advising he had shot an individual.

Officers went door to door to area homes and checked homes on US 33 between CR 138 and CR 40. The area was closed to all traffic, reopening shortly after 11 p.m.

It appears at this time there was no shooting and no reports of gun fire were heard by residents.
