WARSAW — As the 2015-16 school begins, the Kosciusko Board of Realtors wanted to do their part to assure that 16 children of Kosciusko County were ready to go.
For the second year, the KBOR Community Service Committee reached out to Tammy Smith, director of Self Sufficiency Programs at Combined Community Services, to partner with on providing back to school backpacks loaded with all the needed school supplies for 15 Kosciusko County students.
Additionally, KBOR purchased gift cards from Shoe Carnival to add to the backpacks so each child could purchase shoes for physical education class.
KBOR Realtors hope that assuring these children have all of their required school supplies for the start of the school year, helps support these families both emotionally and financially.
The back to school backpacks were presented to Tammy Smith and the children on Tuesday Aug. 4, at the CCS facility.
