Andrea A. Anderson, 60, of Larwill,  passed away at 12:53 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born Nov.  27, 1954, in Columbia City, she was the daughter of Ford E. and Mary F.  (Adams) Ruckman.

She attended the local schools in Larwill. While working at the Pierceton truck stop, she had met Merle A. Anderson  and  after a year of dating, the two were married on July 17, 1976. She was previous owner of Annie’s Restaurant in Larwill, worked at the Farmers Exchange Tavern for over 10 years in addition to working in the kitchen at Whitko Middle School. She had attended Zion Lutheran Church, West Point Trinity United Methodist and was a member of Wolf Lake United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years: Merle Anderson; daughter: Patti (Ray) Draper, Larwill; son: Joe (Katie) Anderson, Larwill; sisters: Norma (Jack) Jerraid, Fort Wayne; Corrine (Delbert) Vetor, Bourbon; and Dianne Zumbrun, Columbia City; brothers: Brad (Teah) Ruckman; Pierceton; and Roger (Lin) Johnson, La Mesa, Calif.; sister-in-law: Lucy Ruckman, Columbia City; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Robert and William “Ed” Ruckman.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, Columbia City. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12,  at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Bock officiating. Burial will follow at South Whitley Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be given in her family towards her family.
