Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:59 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Driver: Anna M. Stamper, 28, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Stamper was backing out of a driveway and struck a parked vehicle registered to Devinn A. Smith, South Columbia Street, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.
5:19 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, East Armstrong Road, west of North CR 450E, Oswego. Driver: Natasha D. Sturgeon, 33, North Warsaw-Oswego Road, Warsaw. Sturgeon swerved to miss an animal in the road and hit a steel corner post on the north side of the road. Damage up to $10,000.
1:53 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, South Columbia Street, south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Brandon S. Bucher, 27, South CR 25W, Warsaw. Bucher drove into standing water and his vehicle floated out into the water hitting a bridge support. Damage up to $10,000
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:54 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, North SR 13, south of East CR 800N, North Webster. Driver: Brock Thornsbrough, 41, Fairway Court, Syracuse. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:43 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, East Center Street, east of North Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Donald C. Morris, 49, Belmont Court, Carmel, Janet D. Bryant, 60, Bethel Road, Columbus, Ohio, and Jane A. Leasure, 61, Rozella Road, Warsaw. Morris was westbound on East Center Street when he slowed down for a red light. However, his vehicle hit Bryant’s vehicle, which was stopped at the light and was, subsequently, pushed into Leasure’s vehicle, which was also stopped at the light. Bryant was treated at the scene for shoulder pain. Damage up to $1,000.
11:33 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, Lake City Highway and Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Bonnie E. Able, 87, West Crooked Tree Drive, Columbia City, and Stephanie Y. Baker, 41, Dimmers Road, Reading, Mich. Both drivers were in the left turn lanes on US 30, when Able veered out of her lane hitting the side of the Baker vehicle which was also turning. Damage up to $5,000.
10:55 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Paul W. Kurosky, Kurosky went to park in a parking space and did not see Joshua W. Goldwood, 31, West CR 350N, Columbia City, a Marsh employee, retrieving shopping carts, hitting him with the passenger side corner of the vehicle. Goldwood suffered a contusion/bruise the the upper leg. He was checked by medics but determined to be uninjured. and Damage under $750.
12:08 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3, North Detroit Street, north of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Lori M. Faubion, 42, North Lake Street, Warsaw, and Gena L. Kendall, 54, East Lynnwood Drive, Warsaw. Faubion was waived out into southbound traffic from a parking lot, not seeing another southbound vehicle and hitting that vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
8:03 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, Husky Trail, south of Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Richard A. Silverman, 58, South Ocean Drive, Hollywood, Fla., and Daniel W. Kamholz, 26, Harmony Court, Winona Lake. Silverman pulled out of the parking lot in front of the Kamholz motorcycle. Kamholz laid the motorcycle down, sliding into the side of the Silverman vehicle. Silverman declined medical treatment, Kamholz was treated at the scene for road rash and bleeding. Damage up to $5,000.
7:58 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, North Detroit Street and East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Philip Buhrke, 19, Palace Street, Aurora, Ill., and Randall S. Cripe, 43, Camden Court, Goshen. Buhrke turned his vehicle in front of the Cripe vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
