Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents.
8:56 a.m. Wednesday, July 29, East Old SR 30, east of North 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Reece A. Coryellbattle, 27, South 600W, Warsaw. Coryellbattle fell asleep while driving and his vehicle left the road, hitting a concrete bridge rail, causing the vehicle to roll. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $10,000.
11:08 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, East Old SR 30, south of North 650E. Driver: Jeffrey N. Bryant, 28, East 450N, Warsaw. Bryant swerved to miss a deer and his vehicle went into a cornfield. He was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital with complaints of pain in his head, lower back and left arm. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident.
2:09 a.m. Friday, July 31, North Detroit Street north of East Fort Wayne Street. Drivers: Stacy N. Prater, 26, Anchorage Road 28, Warsaw, and Julia M. Smith, 18, EMS C28G Lane, Warsaw. Prater was northbound in the righthand lane of North Detroit Street and Smith was northbound in the left hand lane. Thinking Smith’s vehicle was farther back, Prater changed lanes and collided with Smith. Damage up to $5,000.
7:54 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 1000 Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Unknown. An unknown vehicle hit a parked car and left the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
5:20 p.m. Thursday, July 30, East Center Street and South Sherman Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Shanna N. Ewert, 37, South Meadow Drive, Warsaw; James T. Croy, 40, East Putter Place, Syracuse; RJ Helser, 71, Glad Street, Warsaw; Richard B. Higgins, 89, South 325E, Warsaw; and Susan M. Mack, Sand Hill Lane, Warsaw. Ewert was eastbound on Center Street and the vehicle in front of her, driven by Croy, stopped abruptly. She hit her brakes but hit Croy’s vehicle, pushing it into Helser’s vehicle, which then hit Higgins’ vehicle. Mack was eastbound when Ewert’s vehicle stopped. Mack hit her brakes but was unable to stop in time and hit Ewert’s car. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $100,000.
