Strong Finish For 4-H Livestock Auction
WARSAW — The 2015 Kosciusko County 4-H Livestock Auction brought in a total of $412,236.42 plus an additional $5,288 for the Buyers Support Group, giving this year’s sale a strong finish. The sale was short $20,250.37 from 2014, a record sale year.

Kelly Heckaman, county extension director, stated the sale was down 81 lots, which were primarily poultry lots. Last year the total number of lots sold was 558, a record number. This year there were 477 lots sold.
A break down of division, entries and amount brought in are:
- Beef, 34 entries, $113,321.50
- Dairy, 31 entries, $20,075
- Dairy Calf Feeder Steer, 35, $59,366
- Dairy Steer, four, $9,100
- Goats, $64, 31,861.90
- Pork Loins, 10, $4,550
- Poultry, 116, $31,977.50
- Rabbit, 33, $10,100
- Ribeyes, 10, $4,750
- Sheep, 21, $16,210
- Swine, 116, $113,647.52.
The Kings Kiss brought in $1,200 and the Queen Kiss brought $1,365. The Kurt Miller Memorial Fund raised $4,085.
