Michael Andrew Norton of Claypool, passed away at his residence at 1:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2015, at the age of 60.

He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 1973 graduate of Mentone High School. He was a truck driver all of his life, working for the last 10 years as a truck driver for Pike Lumber in Akron. He had to retire in 2012 due to ill health.

Michael was a member of Warsaw Family Worship Center, loved music, playing the guitar, and he loved to fish. Most of all he loved his family and grand babies.

He was born on Feb. 6, 1955 in Warsaw, to Gene Norton and Norma (Blue) Norton Weida.  On Sept. 8, 1973 in Mentone, he was married to Laura L. (Waddle) Norton, who survives in Claypool

He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters: Amy (John) Weist, Mentone; Angela (Mark) Conley, Claypool; six grandchildren: Gabriel; Andrew; Lillian; Lance; Prestton; and Paige. He also leaves behind two brothers: Chalres Norton, Lake Placid, Fla.; Steven (Tamra) Norton, Mentone; one stepbrother: John (Crystal) Weida, Akron; two sister: Susan (John) VanCuren, Mentone; Glenna (Dennis) Blue, Warsaw; and stepsister: Joanne (Wayne) Hansen, Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter: Ann Marie Norton, in 1974.

Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Monday, July 20,  at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor William Whitaker. A graveside service will follow at Mentone Cemetery, Mentone.
