Extreme heat is on the horizon for Kosciusko County this weekend. The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Kosciusko and surrounding counties.

Today, thunderstorms are possible throughout the day and early tonight. An isolated strong or severe storm is possible along with localized heavy rain this afternoon and evening.

This heat index is expected to rise into the lower to middle 90’s this afternoon. Tomorrow however, heat index values are expected to rise around 105 degrees. Sunday will grant no reprieve with temperatures expected to be around 100 degrees.

NWS notes a heat advisory is likely to be issued this weekend.
