Wienermobile To Stop At Plymouth Martin’s Tomorrow
The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be making a stop at Martin’s Super Market in Plymouth from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 17. The store is located at 865 E. Jefferson St.
Those who wish to stop and see the iconic car will have a chance to get their picture taken with it and receive a free wiener whistle. A new virtual tour is also available on Oscar Mayer’s free mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices.
The Wienermobile was first created in 1936 when Carl Mayer, Oscar’s nephew, had an idea to put a huge hot dog on wheels and drive around Chicago with it. Since then, multiple incarnations of the vehicle have criss-crossed the country. There are currently six of the 27 foot long hot dogs on wheels in service.
