Robert L. ‘Bob’ Frenger
Robert L. “Bob” Frenger, age 84, of Syracuse, died at 7 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
He was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Elkhart County to David and Viola Frenger. On May 20, 1949, he married Ada Culp in Bremen. They have enjoyed 66 years together.
Surviving is his wife: Ada; children: Vicki (Larry “Moose” Klotz, Milford; Peggy (Russell) Slabaugh, Lake Zurich, Ill.; Kent Frenger, North Judson; grandchildren: Melisa Yocum; Amanda Freeze; Susan Gibson; Todd Klotz; and a great-grandson: Robert Yocum. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Roberta McKenney.
Robert was a 1949 graduate of New Paris High School. He was a member of Union Center Church of the Brethren and the North Webster Kiwanis. He had worked at Coppes Kitchens for 40 years and home Crest for 20 years. Robert enjoyed playing cards, bowling, ice fishing, and hunting. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Union Center Church of the Brethren and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Funeral Service, Monday, July 13, at the Church. Rev. Frank Ramirez will officiate and burial will be in Union Center East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
