Noble County Native To Perform In Concert
ROME CITY — Nationally-known gospel, country and rock ’n’ roll artist and Noble County native, Todd Allen Herendeen, will perform in concert at 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Sylvan Cellars Event Center, 2725 E. Northport Road, Rome City.
The event, “God and Country,” is a fundraiser for Common Grace, which assists with emergency financial assistance, food and furniture for the needy of Noble County.
Presale tickets are available at any Campbell & Fetter Bank branch or at the Common Grace office at the corner of Dowling Street and C.R. 1000E, Kendallville, and are $15 for adults and $20 at the door. Children 12 and under, accompanied by adult, are free. There is a $2 discount per pick for all U.S. military personnel and veterans.
A committed Christian, Herendeen says that God, veterans and his country are foremost in his mind when he appears on stage. “I just want to use the talents God gave me to bring joy to others,” he said. “I sincerely mean what I say, do and sing.”
Herendeen has been an entertainer for 15 years and has opened for such musicians as Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Chubby Checker, The Four Tops, The Platters and The Beach Boys. In the country realm, he’s worked with such artists as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Janie Fricke.
Herendeen has performed around the country, including Las Vegas and Nashville. He has performed at the Tropical Garden Theatre at Gulf World Marine Park in Panama City Beach, Florida for 14 years.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Food and drink will be available for purchase and there will be a 50-50 raffle.
