WARSAW — Olivia A. James Self, 22, Kinney Drive, Warsaw, was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital following a two-vehicle accident at 8:29 a.m. Wednesday, July 8 The accident was at Detroit and East Pope streets. Self complained of pain to the neck.

Warsaw Police report Verl B. Kreis, 90, South Graceland Avenue, Claypool, was westbound on Pope Street, stopped at the intersection and looked for traffic. He stated he did not see the other vehicle before driving onto Detroit Street.

Self was north on Detroit Street when the accident occurred. She stated there was another vehicle in front of her and once that vehicle had passed the intersection, Kreis pulled his vehicle out in front of her. She slowed down and swerved, but could not avoid the accident. Ofter the impact, Self’s vehicle spun around and hit a curb.

Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
