Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:40 a.m. Saturday, July 4, East Old Road 30 and South CR 600E, Warsaw. Drivers: Brianne L. Willis, 18, North CR 850E, Leesburg, and David L. Watkins, 28, Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Willis complained of pain to the head but refused medical attention. Willis’ vehicle struck the back of the Watkins vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
2:33 p.m. Friday, July 3, West Winona Avenue and South Hand Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Kyle J. Bruner, 46, North Kinds Drive, Syracuse. Police were called to the hospital for a motorcycle accident report. Bruner stated he blacked out while driving his motorcycle and lost control. His motorcycle overturned on the north side of the roadway. He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. Bruner complained of pain to his entire body. Damage up to $5,000.
5:58 p.m. Thursday, July 2, South Main Street, Leesburg. Drivers: Daniel D. Hoffer, 49, North Park Avenue, Warsaw, and David M. Rogers, 52, EMS T34 Lane, Leesburg. Hoffer was backing out of a parking lot and failed to see the Rogers vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:56 a.m. Saturday, July 4, SR 13N and Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Drivers: Jordan G. Rudicel, 27, Winston Lane, Fort Wayne, and Christopher W. Cripe, 30, East CR 250N, Pierceton. Rudicel’s vehicle struck the back of the Cripe vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:51 p.m. Saturday, July 4, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Anna S. Guerra, 39, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Guerra was attempting to turn her vehicle around from a parking space and struck a parked vehicle, registered to Ortensia Lopez, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Damage up to $1,000.
1:32 p.m. Saturday, July 4, North Detroit Street and East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Keith A. Peterson, 54, Portage, Mich., and Jennifer K. Farrell, 37, Greene Drive, Warsaw. Peterson failed to stop at the traffic light, hitting the Farrell vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
10:27 p.m. Friday, July 3, Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drive: Ryan N. Lundy, Lundy backed from a parking space hitting Julio C. Garcia, 24, North Old SR 15, Warsaw, who was collecting shopping carts. Garcia complained of pain to the lower leg. No medical attention was sought at the scene. Damage under $750.
7:24 p.m. Friday, July 3, West Market Street at South Pine Street, Warsaw. Driver: John K. Churchill, 61, West Market Street, Warsaw. Zoey Islas, 4,North High Street, Silver Lake, stepped out into the street in front of Churchill’s vehicle. Islas suffered a contusion/bruise to the head. Damage under $750.
3:42 p.m. Friday, July 3, Lake City Highway and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Jinniffer A. Miller, 28, East Church Street, Pierceton, and Heather D. Stevens, 23, South Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. Miller’s vehicle struck the back of the Stevens vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
1:55 p.m. Friday, July 3, South Buffalo Street, west of West Prairie Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeanette J. Knee, 48, Eisenhower Parkway, Warsaw, and Trenton V. Plummer, 30, South Union Street, Warsaw. Both drivers stated they had the green light, causing the collision. Damage up to $5,000.
1:36 p.m. Friday, July 3, Lake City Highway, east of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Richard Schimmoeller, 67, Fort Jennings, Ohio, and James G. Galloway, 46, North CR 650W, Larwill. Schlmmoeller failed to see the Galloway vehicle while changing lanes, sideswiping the Galloway vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
12:56 p.m. Friday, July 3, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeffrey A. Condon, 67, East Bowman Street, South Bend, and Sasha L. Hall, 36, West Wallace Road, Warsaw. Condon was backing from a parking spot and struck the Hall vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
8:49 a.m. Friday, July 3, East Winona Avenue and South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ashley G. Newswanger, 27, South Third Street, Pierceton, and Briana R. Kelley, 15, Heron Boulevard, Warsaw. Newswanger complained of neck and shoulder pain but signed off for medical attention. Newswanger’s vehicle struck the back of the driver’s education vehicle driven by Kelley. Damage up to $10,000.
