District 1
Indiana Conservation Officers investigated an ATV accident which occurred today just south of North Webster at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Jacqualynn R. Long, 12, of North Webster was riding an ATV on private property next to her residence on a wooded trail when for unknown reasons she fell from the ATV causing a compound fracture to her left forearm.
Long was wearing a helmet which officers believe very likely saved her from more extensive injuries than what she suffered.
Long was treated at the scene by Pierceton Fire Department personnel as well as the Kosciusko County Multi-Township EMS crew. She was air lifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne by Lutheran Air Ambulance in stable condition.
