Vendors and customers alike enjoyed a crystal clear Fourth of July morning at the Syracuse Artisans and Farmers Market at Veteran’s Memorial Park at Crosson Mill on S.R 13.
The market, which is sponsored by the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department, got the luck of the draw this year. It meets every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October and offers a diverse array of products, including baked goods, jewelry, organic produce, clothing, arts and crafts, live music and more.

Connie Hayes of Ligonier was dressed for the occasion and happily showed off her inventive necklaces and earrings composed of beads, semi-precious stones and some included fishing lures; Of course, she removed the hooks. Another jewelry maker, Peggy John of Tippy Lake, described her own work as “a hobby gone wild.”
