Chautauqua-Wawasee and Oakwood Resort sponsor many events throughout the year, but the summertime schedule is packed with fun for the whole family.
July will warm up with a Patriotic Pops Concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. July 5. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic will be performing on the Oakwood lawn, and children and family of all ages are invited to attend. Chautauqua-Wawasee will sponsor the event with the help of many community donations and Steel Dynamics Inc.
The concerts will continue with a July 23 performance called Multicultural Musical Experience with George Wolfe and Michael Helton. Saxophonist George Wolfe and pianist James Helton join together for the summer performance.
The concert is set to begin at 7 p.m. at Oakwood Resort. Tickets are $7 for adults, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased on the website, www.chautauqua-wawasee.org, at the front desk or at the door the day of the concert.
