Uncle, Nephew Arrested On Burglary Charges
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department detectives stated that they have arrested a Warsaw uncle and nephew who allegedly were responsible for several burglaries in the Palestine and Pierceton areas of Kosciusko County.
After receiving numerous burglary reports in the last month, sheriff’s deputies had coordinated their patrols at specific times and locations. Shortly after midnight on June 15, deputies were advised of a potential burglary in progress inside a barn, south of Pierceton along CR 400S.
Sheriff’s deputies stationed in the immediate area were able to apprehend and arrest two individuals, identified as Thadius Jacob Kuta, 20, and his uncle, Jonathan Dale Kuta, 38, both of Warsaw.
During the course of the investigation, KCSD detectives were able to determine the Kutas had been responsible for several various burglaries, including a stolen handgun from one of the locations.
Deputies subsequently charged both men with felony burglary and they are currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on individual $10,250 bonds. Detectives stated that a large portion of the victims have already been contacted in regards to recovered items that were previously stolen during the burglaries.
