McCulloch Sets Record In Aqua Mile
WARSAW – Michael McCulloch was not only the overall winner of the Warsaw Aqua Mile.
The Westfield resident set a new course record in winning the event held at Center Lake this past weekend. McCulloch won the race in a new record time of 21:09.10.
The Aqua Mile event is in its fifth year and a part of the Northern Indiana Lakes Festival. Swimmers came from out of town to join locals in a one-mile swim on Center Lake. All proceeds go to the CLCA for the beautification of Center Lake.
Race Director Troy Turley offered sincere thanks to the many volunteers who organized the race and ensured swimmer safety. The event would also not be a success without Community Leader Sponsors: SYM Financial Advisors, Midwest Poultry Services, K21 Health Foundation, Parkview Health and Wildman Business Group, and Community Supporter Sponsors: Grossnickle Eye Center, Union Tool, Martin’s Supermarkets, Kosciusko Runners’ Association, Warsaw Parks Department, Lake City Bank, Warsaw Police/Fire Rescue Dive Team, Indiana State Rescue Dive Team, Culligan, John Kimpel and Associates, WRSW, The YMCA and The Lake House.
