CASA of Kosciusko County has announced that Silveus Insurance Group will be the event sponsor of the first CASA 3-on-3 Hoopfest set for Saturday, July 25.

This fun basketball filled event will be held at the Gordon Recreation Center on the Grace College Campus. The day will consist of eight divisions of basketball teams playing in a double elimination tournament. The price for a team to register is $60 and each team member registered before July 10 will be guaranteed an event T-shirt. Tip off of the first games will be at 9 a.m. and sign-in will open at 8 a.m.

From 12 p.m.-1 p.m. the tournament will break for lunch and the gym will be turned over to the sharp shooters for a 3-point shootout. This shootout will be open to anyone who wants to show off their shooting abilities. The Shootout will cost $5 for shooters who are on a registered team and $10 for those who only want to participate in the shootout.

Due to the generosity of Silveus Insurance Group and other event sponsors, all of the registration fee will go directly to CASA’s work advocating for children in the county.

CASA uses volunteer advocates to represent the best interest of youth entangled in the court system as a result of abuse and/or neglect or children caught in the middle of volatile custody disputes. CASA volunteers currently serve as the voice for over 100 children in the community.
