Congratulations to Aqua Mile Time Trial finisher, Ethan Cook, who was the third place overall finisher with a time of 22:25.9 minutes on Saturday, June 20, during the Lakes Festival at Center Lake. This was Ethan’s fifth straight year of swimming the annual one mile timed open water swimming event.  Standing with Ethan is Warsaw Parks and Recreation Director, Elizabeth McKinley who finished the swim in 34:44 and was the sixth woman finisher overall. Ethan will be hosting the Waves For Water Open Water 1 Mile Race on Saturday, July 25, at Center Lake as part of his Kosciusko Community Service project. Proceeds from the event will help build, repair and maintain wells in the Central African Republic. Registration prior to July 11 for the 1 mile timed swim event is $25, (early bird), and $30 until July 25. The swim starts at Center Lake Beach with the course taking a clockwise triangular loop route.  Register at: [email protected].
