Martha L. Cottey
Martha L. Cottey, 76, of Elkhart, died Sunday evening, June 7, 2015, at the home of her son.
She was born July 4, 1938, in Goshen to Noah C. and Lovina (Miller) Hochstetler.
Survivors include four children: Betty (Dean) King, Cincinnati, Ohio; John (Carla) Cottey, Elkhart; Wayne Cottey, Lebanon, Tenn.; and Paul (tom) Smithson, Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren: Michael; Joshua; Amy; Stephanie; Tony; Stacey; Kyle; Blake; Johnathon; Randy; Mark; Nena; and Daisy; great-grandchildren: Tristen; Natalie; Hayden; Kylee; Lexi; Kayla; Taytem; Nick; Emma; Jonah; Annabelle; and Odyssey; sisters: Barbara Renner; Amanda Arnold, both of Goshen; and Fern Neff, New Paris; and brothers: Omer (Nancy) Hochstetler, Middlebury; and L. Jake (Jan) Hochstetler, Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Randy Cottey; sisters: Katie; Vicki; Shirley; and Margaret; and brothers: Howard; Floyd; Pete; and Harry.
She will truly be missed by family and friends and anyone who knows her, especially her children, grandkids and great-grandchildren.
She loved to crochet and made many afghans and baby outfits for the new babies in the family. She was a very hard worker and loved being a homemaker and tending garden. She loved flowers, animals and enjoyed the simple things in life.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service on Friday, June 12, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. Isaac Johnson will officiate.
