Elkhart Jazz Fest Musicians Perform at First Presbyterian Church
Music lovers will have an opportunity to see two of the musicians of this year’s Elkhart Jazz Festival perform as part of First Presbyterian Church’s Jazz Sunday Worship Service.
The worship service takes place at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 21 at 200 East Beardsley Ave., Elkhart. Renowned jazz clarinetist Dave Bennett will be joined by Fred Powell, a popular freelance musician and known for his signature line of trumpets. They will be accompanied by Sean Patrick on string bass, Jim Bollero on percussion, Matt Kennedy on guitar and Celia Weiss on keyboard. The service is sponsored by the Ralph and Barbara Miller Endowment for Arts and Enrichment.
The First Presbyterian Church is located just over the Main Street Bridge, and is within walking distance of downtown Elkhart. The concert is open to everyone. The Dave Bennett Quartet performs all three days of the 2015 Elkhart Jazz Festival, which runs June 19-21.
