Bone City Posts Big Win
AURORA, Ill. – The Bone City Rollers took its show on the road Saturday and posted a fine win in the Land of Lincoln. The shorthanded but cohesive roller derby group from Warsaw rang up a 167-70 win against the host Aurora 88s.
Bone City built up a solid lead early and never allowed Aurora to catch up, using the abbreviated 20-minute halves to overwhelm the 88s. Bone City only had 12 on its roster, but claimed both bout MVPs as Sneak-A-Kat was the MVP Jammer and Mouthy Magpie was the MVP Blocker.
Bone City is next scheduled to do battle July 25 at Gem City (Huber Heights, Ohio) before returning for a home bout August 29 against the Deathrow Derby Dames. Bone City also have a home bout scheduled Sept. 26 against the Missfit Dolls. Both home bouts at the Bone Yard are 5 p.m. starts at Hansen’s Eastlake Skate Center in Warsaw.
