Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
11:16 a.m. Friday, June 5, East CR 700N and North Harper Road, Leesburg. Driver: DIana K. Saucudo, 18, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Saucudo over corrected going around a curve, going off the road hitting a NIPSCO pole. Damage up to $10,000.
2:10 p.m. Thursday, June 4, US 30 and North CR 350W, Warsaw. Barbara J. Wagner, 78, East CR 450N, Warsaw, and Matthew W. Roeder, 16, Michigan Road, Plymouth. Wagner died from internal injuries. Wagner was southbound, stopped at the stop sign, and began to cross the westbound lane when her vehicle was hit by the Roeder vehicle. Damage up to $100,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:50 p.m. Friday, June 5, North CR 700E and East CR 500N, Leesburg. Drivers: Harold D. Carr, 70, EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw, and Keith L. Enyeart Sr., 74, East George Street, North Webster. Carr was turning onto CR 700E and became distracted while turning causing him to over steer and hit the Enyeart vehicle stopped waiting to turn onto CR 700E. Damage up to $10,000.
1:06 p.m. Thursday, May 4, South Main Street, North Webster. Driver: Rex D. Reid, 68, South CR 450E, Pierceton. Reid turned too sharp hitting a parked vehicle, registered to Teirra M. Russell, East CR 500N, Leesburg, with a boat trailer he was hauling. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:03 p.m. Saturday, June 6, East Main Street and North Bronson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Virginia G. Sheffer, 26, Robson Road, Winona Lake, and Kenneth J. Moore, 47, Sue Avenue, Warsaw. Sheffer did not see any vehicles as she proceeded to enter the intersection, but then saw the Moore’s motorcycle causing Moore to brake hard and lay down the motorcycle to avoid a collision. Sheffer’s vehicle was not struck. Damage up to $2,500.
3:42 p.m. Friday, June 5, Lake City Highway and Kosciusko Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Braxton C. Slone, 18, East Wyland Creek Drive, Warsaw, and Jon D. Burnworth Jr., 26, South Main Street, North Webster. Slone drove his vehicle through a space between two stopped vehicles, entering a travel lane failing to see Burnworth’s vehicle turning into Schoop’s parking lot. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:45 a.m. Friday, June 5, East Winona Avenue, Winona Lake. Driver: Beverly K. Smitley, 67, Panorama Drive, North Webster Smitley, towing a car haul trailer with her vehicle was turning into a parking lot and did not have enough room hitting a parked vehicle registered to Janet L. Barger, South CR 800W, Warsaw and dragging that vehicle into a parked vehicle registered to Jerry R. Nolin, West Wildwood Trail, Warsaw. Damage up to $10,000.
