A free comedy improv workshop for teens ages 14-17 will be held at The River coffee shop in North Webster from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday July 7. A short showcase after the workshop will be held at 7:30 p.m. for the public.

The River owner Kelly Fitzpatrick-Thompson and Los Angeles comedian Jessica Hardy have teamed up to provide this opportunity for youth in Kosciusko County during Hardy’s summer visit to the area.

This workshop will kickoff an initiative to help start a local teen improv troupe, with a goal of offering more improv classes this fall for teens at The River.

The class will consist of improv techniques and games which are used in professional improv groups as well local adult troupe Main on Main, which Hardy trained in 2012 and 2013.
