Isaiah 11 Holds Fundraiser
By Terry Shephard
Saturday, May 30, was a fun time at the parking lot of Tractor Supply here in Warsaw. A fundraiser was held by Isaiah 11 Ministry. This wonderful program is ran by Linda Ozier, who holds a masters in mental health therapy. Along with volunteers and board member Deb Marshall, I had not only a fun time but a very informative adventure.
This awesome organization consists of many programs. A few to mention are home schooling, which run five days per week from the hours of 9 a.m. to noon; group therapy, an excellent opportunity to learn responsibility by being with the animals, and on top of that there is a weekly activity to get involved in and share with each other. Andrea Carlin is the horse trainer and gets the kids involved so much before they realize it the time is up and time to go home.
The girls club, held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday
evenings. On the second Wednesday of each month the girls meet out at Miller’s Merry Manor. They talk with the patients. They make crafts and pass them out. What a wonderful way for socializing skills to be met.
By appointment, there is therapy for many areas of our lives including: special needs, foster and adopted families, family relationships and personal development. There is also trauma therapy for victims of rape.
Isaiah 11 Ministry is available to many needs. Fundraisers are held to help feed the animals. Volunteers are always needed. There are the cutest pets waiting to be adopted.
Please drive out and check out everything they have to offer you. The address is 6256 W. 100 N., Warsaw.
