Kosciusko

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:

3:50 p.m. Monday, May 25, East Armstrong Road and North CR 200E, Leesburg. Drivers: Jena M. Jordan, 17, North Maple Way, Leesburg, and Heaven C. Vick, 20, East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Jordan was southbound on CR 200E when she failed to stop for the stop sign, hitting the Vick vehicle. Jordan was cited for disregarding a stop sign and Vick was cited for driving while suspended. Damage up to $25,000.

10:49 p.m. Sunday, May 24, South SR 25, north of Ford Lane, Warsaw. Drivers: Jose L. Ruiz-Lopez, 24, Boulevard Street, Rochester, and Robert R. Lackey, 32, South SR 25, Mentone. Ruiz-Lopez’s vehicle crossed the center line hitting the Lackey vehicle. Ruiz-Lopez was transported by paramedics to Kosciusko Community Hospital due to his level of intoxication. Damage up to $10,000.

8:55 p.m. Saturday, May 23, North SR 13 and East Vawter Park Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Justin A. Gerber, 32, East CR 1000N, Syracuse, and Sabrina I. Garcia, 19, CR 27, Syracuse. Gerber’s vehicle struck the back of the Garcia vehicle, which was turning into a private drive. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

9 p.m. Saturday, May 23, CR 200N, west of CR 850E, Pierceton. Driver: Adam T. Doyle, 17, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.

3:55 p.m. Friday, May 22, North SR 13, south of North Nash Drive, Syracuse. Drivers: Timothy J. Cramer, 18, South Manor Drive, Syracuse, and Bernard W. Young, 71, North Nash Drive, Syracuse. Cramer’s vehicle struck the back of the Young vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:

4:57 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Wendell Stahler, 62, McClain Road, Lima Ohio. Stahler was turning his semitractor/trailer around in the Kosciusko County Work Release parking lot when he struck a parked vehicle registered to Christian M. Renschler, Hepler Drive, Warsaw. Damage up to $2,500.

10:13 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, North CR 150W and Executive Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kirk D. Barden, 46, North Dovewood Trail, Warsaw. Barden was southbound, turning onto Executive Drive when his cell phone fell to the floor. He looked down and grabbed his phone. When he looked up he was headed toward a post. Damage up to $10,000
