Law Enforcement In Action Day
The Warsaw Police Department and the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Club will host the 2015 Law Enforcement in Action Day, 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday May 30, at Pike Lake Beach in Warsaw.
Below is the hour by hour schedule for the event:

Police vehicles on display: 9 a.m. to 9:40 a.m.
SWAT bus, SWAT Humvee, Dive Team van, Rescue One boat, Harley Davidson police motorcycle, patrol cars, and patrol bikes will be on display.

Warsaw dive team- mock drowning: 9:40 a.m. to 10:20 a.m.
Members of the Warsaw Dive Rescue team will be responding and deploying the recently acquired Rescue One boat into Pike Lake during a 40 minute mock drowning/recover incident.

K-9 demonstrations: 10:20 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.
Warsaw Police Department’s K-9 Mako and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department’s K-9 Rex will be showcasing their many talents, including narcotic detection and suspect apprehension techniques.

Taser demonstration: 10:50 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
A Taser instructor will conduct a training scenario using the Taser as a use of force. The instructor will demonstrate the proper deployment of the Taser and explain how the device works.

SWAT team – Distraction Device & Less Lethal Deployment: 11:15 a.m. to 11:35 a.m.
SWAT members will deploy a distraction device and demonstrate the use of a less lethal device.

Police Vehicles/Equipment on Display: 11:35 a.m. to noon
Children will be allowed to sit inside of police vehicles and handle police equipment.
*For children and their families (all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
