Dale W. Miller
Dale W. Miller, age 67, of Bourbon, went to be with Jesus so peacefully surrounded by those he loved the most, his family, at his residence at 9:58 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015. He had battled cancer for a year and a half.
He was born to William E. and Jemima Hostetler on Feb. 14, 1948. He was a lifetime area resident, and was a member of Zion Mennonite Church. He was a harness racing fan and enjoyed racing for 20 years.
Dale married Mary Jane Chupp on Sept. 28, 1972, in Bremen. She survives, as well as son: Gary (Sharena) Miller, Nappanee; and daughter: Juanita Yoder, Bourbon; six grandchildren: Shania; Mikala; Natasha; and Cameron Miller; and Connor and Reagan Yoder; brothers: Robert (Loretta) Miller, Etna Green; Wayne (Martha) Miller, Nappanee; and Marvin (Sarah) Miller, Bremen; sisters: Rosa (Stephen) Stoltzfus, Etna Green; Mary Etta (David) Mast, Nappanee; and Ruth (Omar) Kauffman, Etna Green; and sister-in-law: Ruby Miller, Middlebury. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Leroy Miller.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, and From 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church, Bremen. The funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 24, also at the church, with Pastors Tom Gearin, Jay Hostetler, and Cleo Orendorf officiating.
Burial will follow at Berea Fellowship.
