Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, North Boring Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Mark Thelen, 59, McReynolds Avenue, Grand Rapids, Mich. Thelen was backing the vehicle he was driving into the loading dock at Biomet when the vehicle sideswiped a vehicle parked to the side of the dock. Damage under $750.
3:35 p.m. Monday, May 18, North CR 100E and East CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Andrew J. Horn, 46, North Colfax Street, Warsaw, and Nathanial D. Robinson, 19, Herscher Drive, Warsaw. Horn’s vehicle struck the back of the Robinson vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
3:32 p.m. Monday, May 18, North Turkey Creek Road and East Wawasee Lane, Syracuse. Driver: Jeremy A. Howery, 37, Redfield Road, Edwardsburg, Mich. Howery went to turn the Borden Waste Away truck into a parking lot when the top of the vehicle hooked utility lines damaging several utility poles and lines owned by Embarq. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accident:
7:23 a.m. Monday, My 18, South First Street, south of Mile Marker No. 423, Pierceton. Drivers: Jamie A. Graff, 33, North CR 300W, Wabash, and Michael D. Shenefield, 60, East Ninth Street, North Manchester. Shenefield was south on First Street (SR 13) behind the Graff vehicle. Shenefield went to pass the Graff vehicle when Graff swerved his vehicle into Shenefield’s vehicle pushing him across the northbound lane and into a street curb. Both driver’s told police it was the result of road rage from the time both driver’s left work. Damage was estimated up to $10,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:54 p.m. Monday, May 18, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Andrew J. Hinrichs, 18, Bellagio Drive, Northville, Mich. Hinrichs was backing from a parking space and struck a parked vehicle registered to Dale Hall Trust, East CR 1000N, Cromwell. Damage under $750.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:31 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, Tiger Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Zachary S. Allen, 17, Harmony Court, Winona Lake. Allen turned his vehicle too wide pulling into a parking space, hitting a parked vehicle registered to Ken W. Swartz, East CR 1120N, Syracuse. Damage up to $2,500.
2:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, East Center Street and South Lincoln Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Paul Rivera, 51, East Market Street, Warsaw, and Lora A. Whitaker, 68, East Walnut Street, Warsaw. A passenger in Whitaker’s vehicle, Pearl L. Elliott, 90, East Walnut Street, Warsaw, complained of pain to the neck, but refused medical treatment. Rivera’s vehicle struck the back of the Whitaker vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
