Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:23 p.m. Thursday, May 14, East CR 1250N, west of North East Wawasee Drive, Cromwell. Driver: Ashley N. Schwartz, 22, Candy Cane Lane, Cromwell. Hit deer. Damage up to $2,500.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:18 p.m. Friday, May 15, 340 E. Huntington St., North Webster. Drivers: Wayne A. Koedyker, 63, West 155th Place, Lowell, and Lori Kantor, Worth, Ill. Koedyker struck into an unoccupied parked car registered to Kantor. Damage up to $2,500.
5:06 p.m. Friday, May 15, North SR 13 and West Channel Drive intersection, North Webster. Drivers: Emily A. Allen, 19, North Village Drive, Leesburg, and Mikel Neer, 55, EMS B40 Lane, Leesburg. Allen attempted to turn left at the intersection and was struck by Neer. Damage up to $10,000.
Pierceton
Officers with the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents:
10:05 p.m. Thursday, May 14, SR 13, south of CR 150N, Pierceton. Driver: Kathleen C. Hanford, 34, Highwood Drive, Fort Wayne. Hit deer. Damage up to $1,000.
9:26 p.m. Thursday, May 14, South SR 13, south of South CR 725 East, Pierceton. Driver: Adam W. Yeager, 24, East 8th Street, Rochester. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:43 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 411 S. Huntington St., Warsaw. Driver: Kayla G. Perry, 19, East Hiawatha Road, Cromwell. Perry struck into a vehicle owned by Thomas Vanmeter of Larwill while it was unoccupied and parked. Damage under $750.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
12:38 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 100 N. Detroit St., Warsaw. Drivers: Brad L. Witham, 60, South CR 900W, Mentone, and Renee M. Tripp, 52, East Island View Drive, Warsaw. While Tripp was attempting to park at CVS she was struck by the hitch of Witham’s vehicle as he attempted to back out. Damage up to $2,500.
10:43 a.m. Saturday, May 16, Lake City Highway and East Old Road 30 intersection, Warsaw. Drivers: Jimmie G. Faust, 27, Oliver Street, Fort Wayne, and John P. Golden, 50, Greely Chapel Road, Lima, Ohio. Faust looked at his GPS while driving and rear ended Golden. Damage up to $2,500.
10:15 a.m. Saturday, May 16, Lake City High Way and East Old Road 30 intersection, Warsaw. Drivers: Jeremiah D. Lowe, 32, Sophie Lane, Warsaw, and Kyle J. Gerber, 39, Hunter Road, Bluffton. Lowe observed a vehicle approaching quickly from behind and attempted to change lanes quickly to prevent the collision but as he changed lanes he struck into Gerber. Damage up to $2,500.
9:22 p.m. Friday, May 15, East Winona Avenue, west of Lake View Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: John C. Leeper, 29, Park Avenue, Winona Lake, and Lawrence J. Lafollette II, 41, Presidential Drive, Winona Lake. After observing a bicycle traveling down the wrong side of the street, Officer Leeper or Winona Lake Police Department was preparing to turn around to follow the bicyclist when traffic slowed in front of him causing a rear end collision with Lafollette. Damage up to $1,000.
4:32 p.m. Friday, May 15, Lake City Highway, east of East Old Road 30. Drivers: Shanelle D. Byrer, 21, South McClellan Street, Warsaw, and Melissa Strope, 26, South Iowa Avenue, Addison, Ill. Byrer rear ended Strope’s vehicle. Byrer was cited for driving while suspended and operating a vehicle without financial responsibility. A passenger in Byrer’s vehicle, identified as Cassandra L. Bratten, East Market Street, Warsaw, complained of head and neck pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
4 p.m. Friday, May 15, 3660 Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Unknown. Bart Huffman reported a hit and run accident that had caused damage to his Penske rental truck while parked at Big R. Damage up to $5,000.
7:44 a.m. Friday, May 15, Shelden Street and Petro Drive intersection. Drivers: Daven P. Gasaway, 18, North 2nd Street, Warsaw, and Stephanie Bonilla, 19, North Highland Lane, Leesburg. Gasaway attempted to stop but due to rain and his anti-lock brake systemw as unable to causing him to rear end Bonilla’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
3 p.m. Thursday, May 14, North Detroit and East Arthur streets intersection, Warsaw. Driver: Tracy E. Parker, 51, East CR 600S, Warsaw. Parker struck a bicyclist who was thrown from his bike into traffic. Though she attempted to stop, her tire hit the cyclist, stopping on his chest. The cyclist was identified as Thomas E. Meade, 59, West Market Street, Warsaw. He was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for imediate medical attention. A voluntary chemical test was given to Parker. Damage under $750.
