Shimmy Mob Warsaw Raises Funds For The Beaman Home
Shimmy Mob Warsaw recently celebrated World Bellydance Day by dancing to raise funds for The Beaman Home.
Shimmy Mob’s primary objective, along with their sponsoring troupe, Almas Fi al Kham, is to raise donations and awareness for victims of domestic abuse. Funds raised via Shimmy Mob are donated to local shelters for victims of domestic abuse throughout the world.
Their secondary objective is to produce a flash mob type event formed by dancers and community members performing a choreographed medley of bellydance styles, sharing the history and beauty of the different Middle Eastern dances that bellydance encompasses.
Shimmy Mob performances occurred throughout World Bellydance Day, Saturday, May 9. Shimmy Mob Warsaw, along with Shimmy Mob Fort Wayne, came together and danced to celebrate and raise funds at the Winona Lake Pavilion.
They will be offering an encore performance and taking donations at the Winona Lake Art Fair on Saturday, June 6. For more information on how you can support The Beaman Home, visit their website at www.thebeamanhome.com.
