Lippe Leaves Lakeview For Manchester Jr.-Sr. High
Dr. Jon K. Lippe was named the Manchester Junior-Senior High School associate principal during the Manchester School Board meeting on Tuesday, May 12. After a year in this position, Lippe will become the principal of Manchester Junior-Senior High School with the retirement of current principal, Nancy Alspaugh, in June 2016.
Lippe has served as an administrator in the Warsaw Community Schools for the past 10 years, most recently as the building level principal at Lakeview Middle School. He has also worked as an assistant principal at Edgewood Middle School and was previously a physics, astronomy and chemistry teacher at Huntington North High School and Jimtown High School.
In extracurricular activities, Lippe has coached basketball, cross country and track and field. As the girls’ basketball coach, Lippe had successful seasons at Huntington North including sectional and regional championships and being named Conference Coach of the Year several times.
Educationally, Lippe earned his doctorate in educational leadership at Purdue, his master’s in secondary administration at Indiana University and his bachelor of science in chemistry and physics education at Huntington University.
While at Lakeview Middle School, Lippe has led the school to an “A” letter grade in 2013, introducing Project Lead the Way and STEM courses and a world languages program for high school credit in Mandarin Chinese, French, Latin and Spanish. He has integrated technology to replace textbooks and developed a focused intervention and remediation for students struggling to pass ISTEP. He feels strongly about positive communication with students to help them achieve their dreams and with parents to support their efforts.
Principal Nancy Alspaugh states, “We are excited to have Jon join our administrative team at MCS and look forward to working with him in all areas to gain new ideas for improvement and strengthen positive academic growth for our students in grades 7-12. We hope our students, staff and parents welcome Dr. Lippe as he becomes a Squire!”
Dr. Lippe and his wife, Amy have three children and currently reside in Claypool.
