IU’s Davis Caught With Marijuana In Dorm Room
Indiana University basketball player Devin Davis, 20, was cited with drug possession this week and suspended from all team activities.
“Any additional action related to Davis’ status will occur after further review of this matter,” said J.D. Campbell, IU men’s basketball spokesman, in a statement.
Davis, a sophomore forward from Indianapolis, was charged with possession of marijuana inside a campus dorm room Monday. Hanner Mosquera-Perea, another IU basketball player, was also present at the time of the incident but was not charged.
Davis had previously suffered a brain injury in a car accident in November involving teammate Emmitt Holt. Holt was not cited in the accident, but was suspended for four games.
Mosquera-Perea was arrested in February 2014 for operating while intoxicated. His blood alcohol content was reportedly .15, nearly twice the legal limit. He was suspended indefinitely, but remained on the roster for the 2014-2015 season.
