Silveus Insurance will be partnering with “Raise The Dough” adoption fundraising campaign as they host the second annual Raise The Dough doughnut fundraiser. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, and will be held at Silveus Insurance, located at 1037 Mariners Drive, Warsaw.

Each year “Raise The Dough” chooses a deserving couple in the community to help them in raising funds for the couple’s adoption. This year’s couple is Daniel and Jessica Manduka, Warsaw.

The event is hosts on the first Friday in June, as it is National Doughnut Day. In order to raise the funds, the surrounding community is asked to pre-purchase their doughnuts online through www.raisethedough.net and choose from a variety of doughnut companies, from Rise-n-Roll and Krispy Kreme to Warsaw’s own Wabash Donuts. Each ticket purchased costs $18 and is good for a dozen doughnuts from your choice doughnut company.

All pre-orders should be made and paid for online by 12 a.m. Wednesday, June 3. Your order will be filled and then available for pick up at the Silveus Insurance office on the day of the event, from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Friday, June 5.

The pick-up times will have a number of activities onsite. Attendants can spend time meeting the couple that their tickets will benefit and they can also enjoy a hot, freshly made-on-the-spot donut and decorate it at our one of a kind toppings bar.

Organizer Tobe Forshtay has this to say about the event, “This is a very special day for us. We helped a family kickoff their fundraising last year and recently learned that they have been paired with a birth mother. We have a strong desire to help couples raise funds as they feel called to adopt. You see, in a way, we have been adopted into God’s family through Christ. There was a debt paid on our behalf that we could never pay ourselves. This motivates us to help others through their adoption journey. It brings us joy, and it’s a whole lot of fun, too.”
