Robert S. Bennett
Robert S. Bennett, 46 of Atwood, passed away at 5:12 p.m. Saturday, May 2, in his residence.
On Feb. 8, 1969, he was born in Warsaw, to Stephen and Linda (Hopkins) Bennett. He was united in marriage to Brooke Howard on Sept. 1, 1990 in Warsaw, who survives.
A lifetime resident of Warsaw, Robert worked as a polisher for Helser’s Metal Finishing, Warsaw. He was a member of Fraternal Order of the Eagles and was at one time a trustee. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing, of which he was a fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr., golfing, sprint car racing and he was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. He loved riding his motorcycle and he loved his family.
Robert is survived by his wife: Brooke Bennett, Atwood; two daughters: Morgan Linae Bennet, Atwood; and Melanie Sue Bennet, Atwood; one grandson: Carson Ryan James Blackburn, Atwood; his parents: Stephen and Linda Bennett, Atwood; two brothers: Stephen Ray (Teresa Wilson) Bennet, North Webster; and Kevin C. (LeAnn) Bennett, Warsaw; one sister: Penny (Steve) Thomas, Chapman Lake; mother-in-law: Sue Howard, Columbia City; one sister-in-law: Michelle (Joel) Roberson, Panama City, Florida; and one brother-in-law, Lincoln (Marisa) Howard, Avon.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Daniel Howard.
Visitation hours will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in the funeral chapel. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Barry Faucett officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions in Roberts name may be made to Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis.
